The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) releases a new analysis piece by Galip Dalay, a researcher in the political research department at the SETA Foundation, on Turkey’s Kurdish peace process.
In his analysis titled “Revisiting the Kurdish Peace Process: Facilitating Factors, the Regional Dimension, and Challenges Ahead,” Dalay argues that four factors set Turkey’s current attempt at solving the Kurdish issue peacefully apart from previous trials. Dalay concludes that, while these factors together with regional developments render the ground ripe for a solution, only political and legal steps can push the process to the next level.
