Dear Editor,

I refer to your  item 'Athens 1944: Britain's dirty secret' by Helena Smith and Ed Villiamy 30 November 2014. There is another piece of dirty secret that has not been told yet. Churchill had a very powerful accomplice to his shameful decisionback in 1944. And that accomplice was none other than Marshal Stalin himself.

In a lengthy personal and top secret  telegram to Marshal Stalin (Moscow)  dated 29.4.1945 Winston Churchill wrote: ". With regard to your reference to Greece and Belgium, I recognize the consideration which you gave me when we had to intervene with heavy armed Forces to quell the EAM-ELAS attack upon the centre of government in Athens. We have given repeated instructions that your interest in Roumania and Bulgaria is to be recognized as predominant."
