Turkish Foreign Minister
Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey, which became "dialogue partner" with Shanghai
Cooperation Organization (SCO), was the first NATO member state establishing
such a relation with SCO, Anadolu
Agency reported.
Davutoglu told reporters on Sunday that Turkey approved dialogue
partnership with SCO in June 2012 and recently put a signature on the deal.
Noting that Turkey was located in a multi-dimensional geography
and interested in many foreign policies on the same scale, Davutoglu said that
Turkey, due to its situation, became member or partner of many international
organizations.
None of them is an alternative to another, said Davutoglu, adding
that Turkey's relations with EU did not mean that it would stay away from SCO
which was Asia's most comprehensive security and cooperation organization.
Also commenting on Cyprus issue, Davutoglu said that there was a
clear picture in Cyprus, adding that on one side there was a party willing to
resume talks and find solution, and on the other side there was a party which
kept finding excuses to delay the solution of the problem.
