Conference Summary, Part 1

Address by Prime Minister Netanyahu, May 29, 2012
At the Institute for National Security Studies annual conference in Tel Aviv, Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu told the audience that Israel was not satisfied with recent developments in
talks with Iran. “Not only do we need to strengthen the sanctions,” the Prime Minister said, “we
need to strengthen the demands on Iran in order to lift the sanctions.” He added that Iran must
stop uranium enrichment entirely, ship all previously enriched material out of the country, and
shut down the underground facility at Qom.
The Prime Minister also addressed the issue of illegal migrants into Israel that has featured in
national headlines in recent weeks. He promised that the government would solve the problem
diligently and responsibly. "My policy is clear,” the Prime Minister said: “First of all, to stop
infiltrators with the [border] fence, and then to deport all infiltrators already in Israel.”
